We know that not all of you will be able to make it to Colorado and that some of you may wish to have other types of memorials closer to home.

The family would like to thank you and extend there thoughts to you as you try to cope with this tragedy. We ask that if you have memorials or if you do something to remember Lisa in your own way, that you send us something so we can post it for others to view.

Whether it be a gathering or a gesture to remember, we would love for you to share it with us, so we may share it with others.

A way to remember...

For as long as I can remember Lisa has loved dogs, not one in particular, but dogs. She has always loved everyone else's dogs yet never had her own dog. When she returned from Japan and got out of the Marine Corps she really wanted a dog. She had talked to me about it from time to time, and then Mom found one. Mom and B.J. had agreed that Lisa could have a puppy if she got a male Basenji like the dogs they had, and Lisa agreed. She wasn't picky about the type, she just wanted her own puppy. Mom and B.J picked up Stitch on January 19th in the evening and returned home after Lisa had already gone out for the evening to the Stock Show. Lisa never made it home to see her puppy, who they later renamed Stitch. For those of you who stopped by and saw the puppy it is obvious that wild and clumsy dog was for Lisa.

Tattoo's To Remember

A special thanks to Joey Black and Todd Black from Lucky 13 Tattoo and piercing in Arvada, CO for the work the did in Memory of Lisa. Your time and your skill was a gift to us all in memory of women we will never forget and you never knew. From all of us, we say thank you.

January 20, 2007

After hearing the news of Lisa's tragic death, John and Dan went to see the guys at Lucky 13 and had tattoo's done in memory and honor of Lisa who has touched them and touched us all. After telling Joey Black about Lisa and what had happened, he refused to charge them for the work they did. We are all so touched by Lisa's life and how she impacted us all and yet she continues to touch people who she never meet. From all Lisa's family and friends we would like to say thank you to Joey Black and to Lucky 13 for your time and work, that lets us each remember a women who we will never forget.

Later on that week, we returned to Lucky 13 and Deb (Lisa's mother) finally got her first tattoo. She wanted to incorporate Lisa's tattoo and a little something of herself, so she had them add a heart and the letters LLS to the tattoo Lisa had gotten, and of course a little ladybug.

January 24, 2007

The same day that Deb (Lisa's mother) got her tattoo, Emma (Lisa's older sister) got one too. She added the initials LLS to the tattoo Lisa had and got it put on her wrist because that is where Lisa originally wanted to get hers.

January 24, 2007

When they went in to get the tattoo's they had to make an appointment and give them time to draw them out, but while they were there Laura got a baby blue belly button stud piercing. Also the same day, Deb (Lisa's mother) and Emma (Lisa's older sister) got their tattoo's Laura Meuse (a.k.a. Little Laura) got a tattoo similar to the one Lisa had gotten in the same place Lisa's had her tattoo. Laura Meuse added Lisa's initials and the date 1-20-07.

Again we would like to give a special thanks to Joey Black and Todd Black for there gift of tattoo's to Lisa's friends and family, it is a blessing to be able to express the honor and memory of Lisa in this unique way.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

Author Unknown

When tomorrow starts without me,

And I'm not there to see;

If the sun should rise and find your eyes

All filled with tears for me;

I wish so much you wouldn't cry

The way you did today,

While thinking of the many things,

We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,

As much as I love you,

And each time that you think of me,

I know you'll miss me too;

But when tomorrow starts without me,

Please try to understand,

That an angel came and called my name,

And took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready,

In the Summerlands far away,

And that I'd have to leave behind

All those I dearly love today.

But as I turned to walk away,

A tear fell from my eye,

For all my life, I'd always thought,

I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,

So much yet to do,

It seemed almost impossible,

That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,

The good ones and the bad,

I thought of all the love we shared,

And all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,

Just even for awhile,

I'd say goodbye and kiss you

But then I realized,

That this could never be,

For emptiness and memories,

Would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,

I might miss come tomorrow,

I thought of you, and when I did,

My heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through the Summerlands

I felt so much at home.

When the Goddess looked down and smiled at me,

From Her place in my new home,

She said "This is not eternity",

As I've promised you."

Today for life on earth is past,

But here it starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow,

But today will always last,

And since each day's the same day

There's no longing for the past.

But you have been so faithful,

So trusting and so true.

And now at last you're free.

To walk the Summerlands as you please.

So when tomorrow starts without me,

Don't think we're far apart,

For over time you think of me,

I'm right here, in your heart.
