For those of you who saw the website prior to now, you may notice a change in this item. I was trying to be able to provide this item to everyone for FREE, and I thought I had gotten enough dog tags made to get them to everyone, and also pay for shipping. After posting it to the website, I found I had miscalculated how many people would want them and soon realized I was unable to afford the cost for everyone. I am trying to honor the requests that I received for the FREE Dog Tags, but am unable to absorb the cost on my own. At eight dollars a set you can see how it can be quiet expensive. If I had the money to send everyone a set at no cost I would do that but Free, was not the cost I paid to make them. I pay 8 dollars, from start to finish with shipping them out, and that is all I would ask of anyone who would like a set. There is no profit being made on the dog tags, using the store/engraving shop on base, we have kept the costs down as cheap as possible. I will be glad to make arrangements with anyone who is interested in getting a set of dog tags. I picked up and paid for an additional 150 sets of Dog Tags that were made. I now have plenty to fill any requests that come in.Thank you again for your support and I hope that this small item will help you in remembering my sister Lisa for years to come. |

The dog tags have long been a symbol recognized in the military. Its
primary purpose has always been to identify personnel killed in a combat
zone, but over the years it has become a way to remember ones we have
lost, or even to remember a specific cause someone supports.
Being that Lisa and Laura were both United States Marines, they had dog tags issued to them during there time in the service. It is an important item, that not only serves to identify them, but gives them a constant reminder of what they are apart of. Many service members today, have dog tags that they wear, display or carry that help them remember a comrade who was lost. Much like the bracelets worn to remember military members who are KIA or MIA, many have dog tags to remember someone they lost. The one dog tag shown in the set is an authentic military dog tag, matching that of the ones Lisa wore while in the Marine Corps. The other is a custom engraved memory tag, listing the dates Lisa was with us. The dog tags are on a standard military dog tag chain, and will continue to be available until we run out and/or cannot have additional ones created. |
