Lisa was my baby as well as my best friend. People
would say she looked like me and was so much like me in
so many ways. Her loss is like loosing a twin sister.
Lisa loved everyone no matter what their race, size or
financial status. She saw everyone as equal and would
be the first to stand up for anyone that she felt was
being wronged. She would give you the shirt off her
back and her last dollar if you needed it.
When Lisa was upset with someone, she soon forgave them
and kept them as friends. She would hunt you down if
she hadn't heard from you in a while. I've never seen
anyone that kept in contact with so many people for so
many years. We've had the pleasure of hearing from her
friends all over the world. Even parents of previous
boyfriends have called. We have been overwhelmed by the
number of people that Lisa has touched in her short time
on this earth.
Lisa believed in living life to the fullest and enjoying
every moment. I rarely saw her down or cry. She was
usually smiling, laughing, or trying to cheer someone
else up.
Lisa's needs were very simple. All she had ever wanted
was to pay off her expenses, get her degree, move out on
her own, find a man to love her and accept her the way
she was. She wanted to have a fairy princess wedding
and have lots of babies.
We felt blessed to have the last 6 months with her
living with us. She had also worked in the same office
as I do for the last 4 months. After her being gone for
4 years in the Marines, we took advantage of the time we
had and really enjoyed each other's company. I'm sure
she is looking down and counting her blessings that
she'd already "fixed" my wardrobe and modernized it.
She had to so much fun "fixing" me and helping me with
fashion, hair, jewelry, accessorizing, etc.
Lisa will remain beautiful forever and be one of the
best angels that God has. Lisa will live on forever in
all of our hearts and memories.
Our Love Forever and Always,
Mom and B.J.
